Q: How do I access the Carter BloodCare Store?
A: The store can be accessed from a link on the Carter BloodCare intranet homepage or by going to http://www.carterbloodcarestore.org/myaccount.asp. Also, all the Donor Centers will be able to access this website from their computers.
Employees who do not have access to a computer or the internet at their work site can use the computers in the North Building break room.
Q: How do I create an account?
A: The site will prompt users to create personal accounts with a username and password. This log in information will be unique to each employee and will allow for personal account service.
Q: What kinds of items will be available in the store?
A: The store will have items ranging from clothing items, watches, key chains and umbrellas to T-shirts, mugs, desk items and lunch coolers.
Q: Is the site secure?
A: The site is secure. It requires users to create and log in to personal accounts with a user name and password. All orders are privacy protected and the site is encryption protected.
Q: What are the payment options on the site?
A: Employees will be able to pay with credit card or payroll deductions. Payroll deductions may only be used by active employees, and once it is authorized by the employee, all payroll deductions are final.
Orders can also be placed by department representatives for company business using a purchase order.
Q: What are the shipping times for purchases?
A: Items will be delivered each department for distribution to each employee within two weeks of placing an order.
Q: How do I redeem my gift certificate?
A: During checkout, a “certificate code” box will allow employees to enter a pre-authorized gift certificate code. After the code is entered, the gift certificate amount is applied to the total order.
If the gift certificate amount is less than the total order, a credit card or payroll deduction can be used for the balance.
If the gift certificate amount is more than the total order, the remaining gift balance will be retained in the users account apply to future purchases.
Q: I’m excited to see clothing items in the store! How will that work?
A: In order to keep the prices low, all clothing orders will be pre-ordered and processed in batches of 12. This means that orders for at least 12 of the item must be received before the order will be processed. If an item does not reach the minimum batch quantity within a month’s time, any pre-orders for that item will be canceled with no charge.
Clothing items can be returned only to exchange for a different size. Clothing that has been worn or washed cannot be returned.
Q: How do I get information about the CBC store?
A: During the login process, employees will be asked how they would like to receive information. CBC encourages the use of email for faster updates, if the user doesn’t have email, phone is available as well as regular mail. There is also a place for the user enter their email address on the “Mailing List” section on the sidebar, they would then select “Subscribe” and then click “Go.”
